BTW, readers, I presume this is obvious, but for the record I was using the word "kill" in the literal sense (e.g., "This music is killing me--please turn it off!"), not in the hip jazz sense (e.g., "This music kills--I love it!"). I should have clarified...

I couldn't figure out the justification for the stand either. Maybe it frees up her concentration so she can focus on maintaining that painfully flashy smile throughout the piece?

Oh, and hey--what's with the gigantic grapes in the background?!
